Spendly Privacy Policy

Spendly is built to work entirely on your device. This page explains exactly what that means for your data.

What we collect

Nothing. Spendly does not require an account, does not collect your name, email, or location, and does not track your usage. Every transaction, category, and budget you create is stored only in Spendly's local database on your own phone.

Where your data lives

Your financial data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it yourself. We have no server that stores your transactions, and nobody at Karakoram Labs can see your data, because we never receive it.

Exchange rates

To convert amounts between currencies, Spendly fetches live exchange rates from a third-party rate provider. This request only sends currency codes, never any of your personal or financial data.

Permissions

• Biometric or PIN lock. If you turn this on, your fingerprint or face data is verified by your phone's own operating system. It never reaches Spendly or Karakoram Labs in any form.
• Notifications. Used only for budget alerts you've enabled, generated entirely on your device.
• Storage access. Used only when you choose to export or import a backup file, and only for the file you select.

Children's privacy

Spendly is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children, because it collects no personal data from any user.
